Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of My Garage Journal, operated by Sisu Ventures Limited. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The service
My Garage Journal is a digital record for your vehicles — a place to log service history, costs, documents and reminders, and to generate ownership and sale reports. It’s a record-keeping tool, not legal, financial or mechanical advice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 16 or older.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the activity on your account, and for the accuracy of the information you enter. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempts to access other users’ data or disrupt the service, and no use that infringes others’ rights.
Your content
You keep ownership of the records and files you add. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content back to you, and to produce the reports you ask us to generate. You’re responsible for the content you upload and for anything you choose to share.
Plans and payment
We offer a free tier and a paid plan (Garage Membership); current prices and inclusions are shown in the app. Paid plans are billed annually in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled — Stripe handles your card details, which we never see or store. You can cancel at any time from Settings; your subscription stays active until the end of the paid period, after which you keep your records and free-tier access. If you change your mind, you can request a full refund within 14 days of any payment by emailing us at support@mygaragejournal.com; after that, payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires. Nothing here affects any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Reports and sharing
Reports you publish are accessible to anyone who has the link. You decide what to include and who to share a report with, and you’re responsible for that decision.
Vehicle transfers
You can hand a vehicle’s record over to another person using a transfer code. Doing so copies that vehicle’s history and its attached files to the recipient’s account — your private notes and insurance entries are excluded, and cost figures are included only if you choose to. Once the code is redeemed, the recipient controls their copy and your copy becomes read-only. Only transfer records for a vehicle you own and are entitled to pass on.
Availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change or remove features, and we can’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. We recommend keeping your own copy of important documents (the export tool makes this easy).
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, and nothing in these terms affects your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these terms.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and disputes are subject to the courts of Ireland. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and highlight significant changes in the app.
